about the SPECIAL ELECTION

The Davidson County Election Commission has scheduled a special election on Aug. 15 to fill the vacancy left by District 33 Antioch-area Metro Councilman Sam Coleman, who was sworn in as a Nashville judge in May 2017. The next District 33 council member will fill the rest of Coleman’s term, which was set to expire in August 2019. Two candidates made it to the runoff election on September 19: Antoinette Lee and Tim Herndon.
