COVID 19 RESPONSE

2020 CARES ACT SPENDING RECOMMENDATIONS

As Nashvillians fought to maintain their health, livelihood, and well-being in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic, The Equity Alliance submitted a proposal to Nashville Mayor John Cooper advocating for how best to spend the $121 million in CARES Act federal funding.

The proposal included four categories of demands for local government:

  1. Ensure Nashvillians can vote safely
  2. Stimulate the economy
  3. Support working families
  4. Support vulnerable populations
